Batman Comic

I'm thinking of making my own batman comic I'm mainly working on the story right now and just fooling around with conceptual sketches to find what look I'm exactly going for. I've just been disappointed with the way Batman is being taken with the "Batman Begins" and "The Dark Knight". I really like their intention but the result to me just doesn't contain the true Batman tone. I'll post some of the conceptual sketches soon, I just wanted to point this out as something going on in the back of my head.

Re: Batman Comic

don't. Invent your own superhero instead. A real good artist makes his own stuff/style. You're a real good artist, so make your own superhero!

A real good artist does as he pleases with his art regardless of what anyone else says! tongue

I don't agree with Hans' view on the Nolan films, but I do agree with his ideas on his own Batman.

I say go for it.

yeah I agree, plus, if i start working with batman and going real in depth into it I can see how the characters are setup the combinations and such work well in a comic book story after gaining experience working with batman maybe I can create my own super hero really well

Re: Batman Comic

Exactly. Why on earth would you jump into something as personal as your own superhero if you have no experience? And besides Batman, character wise, is the most complex hero series in my opinon. X-Men is easily the most complex story wise. It's borderline completely random haha.

And if he makes a fantastic Batman, he could get himself rolling with DC and Vertigo haha.

Um, you're not supposed to post them on this forum topic you can post it in the showcase section by making your own topic or just go ahead and submit it into the comic portal.

Re: Batman Comic

I wasnt setting out to do the next Joker, but I wanted a crack at making up my own far fethced villian in a Batman setting. Because, to be honest, some of Batmans villians are rather out there. Yet I love them all the same haha. But thank you.

Re: Batman Comic

Arkham Asylum was a really cool comic book. The video game is fun to play as well. Just dont expect it to be uber awesomesauce with bacon on the side. It is entertaining and fun.

Re: Batman Comic

Hello,The following trade paperbacks are stories that run through the 'contemporary' books of the Batman family. The earliest trade paperback is Frank Miller's Batman: Year One storyline, which rebirthed the character in the Modern Age, re-telling the first year of his existence and how he came to be. These stories are from comic books still being published and are, in a sense, ongoing. They are printed here in the chronology of the storylines, rather than the publication dates of either the original comics or collections.
